WANDA SYKES is a stand-up comedian and performer who star in the show The New Adventures of Old Christine with Julia Louis-Dreyfus. She has been called one of "25 Funniest People in America" by Entertainment Weekly. You either love Wanda or you extreme dislike her. I am a sometime-fan of her stand-up, although I adored her on The New Adventures of Old Christine, a show I still aggressively grieve. Sykes was challenging Friday from Cumberland County commissioners and their department heads during a planning retreat at the Crown Center.
Wanda Sykes came out as part of the day of nationwide protest against the passage of the anti-gay Prop 8 in California.
