Rahm is one the Obama administration chief of staff and want to run as mayoralty candidate this coming Feb. 22. But suddenly his name is not appearing on the ballot as candidates because of residency standard regardless of the issued by a state appellate court this Monday. Rahm told a news press conference he would plea the decision to the Illinois Supreme Court and would request for a ban so his name would be listed on the mayoral ballot.
Rahm, an ex- congressman, has been the front-running candidate in the race to succeed retiring Mayor Richard Daley. The newest poll by the Chicago Tribune showed Emanuel at 44%, more than double his closest rival, former U.S. Sen. Carol Moseley Braun.
