PHIL KESSEL: last pick in the 2011 NHL All-Star game draft

PHIL KESSEL - Almost he never thought that he would be the last pick in the 2011 NHL All-Star game draft. He can never imagine that it was probably the most sought after enlist in the history of college hockey and was picking by the Minnesota Golden Gophers over the Wisconsin Badgers.

All through Kessel's only season as a college hockey player, the Golden Gophers suffered debatably the most embarrassing loss in team history when they were upset in the first round of the NCAA play-offs by Holy Cross.

Besides if you remember, in Kessel's only season as a college hockey player, the Wisconsin Badgers, who are located in his home town of Madison had one of their best seasons in school history. They capped off a magical year by winning the Badgers sixth National Championship in school history at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee.
